Abdullah Aljughaiman is a Professor of Gifted Education and Thinking Development at King Faisal University (KFU) and has served as Dean of the College of Teachers and Dean of the King Faisal Institute for Research and Consultation. He founded and directed the National Research Center for Giftedness and Creativity, and was appointed to the Saudi Shura Council, where he chaired the Education and Scientific Research Committee.
Internationally, he served as President of the World Council for Gifted and Talented Children (WCGTC) and currently acts as Secretary-General of the King Salman Global Award for Disability Research. Professor Aljughaiman has been instrumental in shaping national policies and programs for gifted education in Saudi Arabia, contributing to Vision 2030 initiatives and leading large-scale research projects on talent identification, enrichment models, and longitudinal development. He developed the Oasis Enrichment Model, a framework widely used across the Arab world to guide talent development practices. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed studies, books, and policy reports and has been a keynote speaker at major international conferences in education and creativity. In 2024, he received the Passow Award for Leadership in Gifted Education from the WCGTC in recognition of his global impact.
